Step & Spine Physical Therapy Moves, Expands in Sisters

SISTERS, OR – Owners of Step & Spine Physical Therapy, an independent physical therapy practice with offices in Sisters and Redmond, announced they will open the doors to a new Sisters facility on Friday, March 1, 2013. According to owners Barrett Ford, PT, and his wife/partner, Jodi, the new location will offer 10 times the space and provide an opportunity for expanded staff and services.

Having operated from a modest 200-square-foot clinic adjacent to a fitness center throughout the last two and a half years, Step & Spine owners are eager to unveil their new 2,100-square-foot clinic on Sisters’ west side, near Ray’s Food Place. The building most recently housed St. Charles Family Care – Sisters.

“We’re expanding due to demand,” said Jodi Ford, owner/manager of Step & Spine Physical Therapy. “We’re growing very quickly, and to be able to expand into such a vibrant area of Sisters, we’re genuinely thrilled to stretch our legs a little and offer even more to the community.”

The new facility will feature three private treatment rooms, a group therapy room, and a group fitness area featuring treadmills, stationary bikes and other training and rehabilitation equipment. Due to demand, the new facility will also accommodate the hiring of a second physical therapist to work side by side with Barrett Ford, PT, who has practiced physical therapy for 19 years.

“He really specializes in hands-on treatment – it’s his niche,” said Jodi Ford. “He’s constantly present for all of his patients, and he wants each client to feel like he or she has truly been taken care of.”

Ford added that Step & Spine Physical Therapy will continue to offer the vast array of services for which they’ve become known over the last three years: physical therapy, spine care, industrial rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, injury prevention, custom orthotics, chronic pain management, and post-operative rehabilitation.

Throughout its transition, Step & Spine Physical Therapy has continued to treat clients both in Sisters and at its Redmond location, which opened last September. The Redmond facility is operated under the direction of lead physical therapist Glenn MacLean-Talbot, BS, MSPT, DPT.
